September to November 2004 September... We left Bend with promises to return, but it was time to head west to Junction City (where our coach was "born.") We had an appointment for some repairs and service, which was done quickly, so we were able to head over to Newport for a couple of days. We had always wanted to visit the Outdoor Resorts there, so were able to get a space for 4 days with a bit of an ocean view...enough of one for us, since the winds were pretty high a couple of nights. Most of the days were quite foggy, but we still managed to see a lot of the area, as well as to travel up to Depoe Bay where the waves were really crashing one day! I spent a LOT of time photographing the Yaquina Head Lighthouse in all kinds of lighting/weather. These are a few photos that show the area... I could have spent many more hours just photographing the lighthouses, but this one's my favorite! I always wanted to do a "foggy lighthouse photo."

Off to San Diego for family visits...then to Texas for October. SHE'S HERE!
Our third granddaughter was born Nov. 16...proud papa shown above! All is well! Central Texas... We're here awaiting the birth of our "probable" third granddaughter, due late November...exciting! In lieu of any photos of Central Texas, please permit a proud grandmother a photo of our first two granddaughters...
Halloween 2004 The International Quilt Festival was held again in Houston this month and I was lucky enough to be able to attend with some of my quilting friends from Central Texas. It's a fabulous quilt show...one that every quilter should attend during their lifetime at least once. Below are a few examples of the artistry we saw..
INCREDIBLE!!! For other photos, see our past travels
