June 13, 2002: Oceanside, CA. "June Gloom" is definitely present here in northern San Diego County. The marine layer seems to be ever present extending inland several miles each day. "Sunny San Diego" usually refers to areas inland from the coast...especially in June. We've been in the mid-60's for most the daytime temps, while inland only a few miles can get well into the 80's. We've been taking care of business matters, family matters, etc. not to mention Chris came down with a rotten cold, so we've not done much in the way of entertainment or travel this month, nor do we expect to. Our son and his new fiancee will be arriving in a week, so we are eager to see them. No travel until June 30 when we will be heading north going up the eastern side of California via route 395. Destination: Oregon. |
