July 9: Sisters: The Sisters Quilt Show
for more photos check my link to the Sisters' Outdoor Quilt Show page...just lots of photos of my favorites and some photos of the show in general.
We also recently took the Cascade Lakes Highway which basically goes around Mt. Bachelor in a giant loop. It's a fabulous all-day trip, with just a few side-trips to a few nearby sights. We like to try to stop for lunch at Cultus Lake Lodge, a funky lodge overlooking Cultus Lake which has good food (their berry pie was particularly delicious this trip). A short hike on the Ray Atkeson Memorial Trail at Spark's Lake, a short walk up to Todd Lake, and a short stroll to the edges of Devil's Lake are just small, but lovely walks you should do. Just south of Bend you can see awesome views of the Cascade
Mountains with lava in the foreground at Lava Butte; also south of Bend
you can visit Newberry Crater and see Paulina Falls, among other great sights!
