If you haven't been to Bend, hurry and get here before it gets totally "Californiaized"...the natural beauty here in any season is unique.
For a quick summary of our trip up: We stopped at the Premier RV Park in Redding and were there early enough to quickly take a run up to the McArthur Burney Park, which has a beautiful waterfall which was certainly full this time of year! Very nice park...about an hour from Redding, so highly worthwhile.

Local wildlife we're seeing:
Great Blue Heron and Great Horned Owl...both are making their homes in the RV
park this winter.
I surprised a herd of deer as much as they surprised me, so my photo was a bit out of focus...this is what you can do with THAT problem;
Smith Rock State Park, Oregon...16 degrees!
We took a SHORT hike today, even though they are setting all kinds of records
for temperature lows today...it was beautiful!
